Kate joined the Behavioral Health team in 2017. She was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and completed her Bachelor’s degree at UW-Madison in Zoology. Kate began working with youth 15 years ago as an athletics coach and then as a teacher. She earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California, and went to work as a therapist for victims of abuse and neglect. Kate was first introduced to an integrated health model during her MSW internship at Quest Center for Integrative Health in Portland. There she worked with adults in substance abuse treatment. Kate is passionate about prevention and early detection of behavioral health concerns and is excited to be a part of an integrated health team at NBMC. Kate enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, and spending time with family in her free time.
